  • 1.5 pounds potato , cut however you like but into equal size pieces.
  • 3 Tablespoon olive oil.
  • 3 large garlic cloves about 1/2 Tablespoon.
  • 1-2 hot red chili peppers , about 1 Tablespoon more or less depending on your liking.
  • 1 Tablespoon paprika.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro , chopped.
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice. Almost 1 lemon juiced.
  • Optional: green onions and feta cheese for garnishing.


  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  • Boil potatoes for 10-13 minutes until almost done. Set aside then peel when cooled down.
  • In a large skillet, add two Tablespoons of olive oil and roast potatoes until golden brown, set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining Tablespoon of oil add garlic.
  • Add chopped chili peppers and sauté for about one minute.
  • Mix in potatoes, season with paprika, salt and lemon juice.
  • Finally add the cilantro and mix well then turn heat off.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and feta cheese if desired.


Some people add cumin and mint as well.
