skillet
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1½ teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 Tablespoons plain yogurt

Take it out of the oven, cover loosely with aluminum foil and wait for it to cook down for about 10 minutes.
To assemble gyros:
In a lightly oiled hot skillet, brown the gyro slices on high heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
Place meat on pita bread topped with some tzatziki sauce, sliced onions, tomatoes and lettuce or Greek salad.
- If you would like to use fresh herbs use 1 tablespoon fresh instead of 1 teaspoon of dried.
Storage
- Store leftover ground beef gyros in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
