- 1 Tablespoon oil
- 1 large yellow onion diced
- 1 green bell pepper cubed
- 1 red bell pepper cubed
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ½ cup milk
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In an oven safe large skillet heat oil on medium-high and sauté onions and bell pepper.
Add ground beef and brown until no longer pink then drain excess fat.
Return skillet to stove, sprinkle flour and mix in then pour in milk.
When the mixture heats up, mix in the cream cheese.
Turn heat off and top the meat with provolone cheese.
Bake in the oven until cheese melts and is bubbly.
- If you do not have an oven safe skillet, you can transfer the ground beef mixture to a casserole dish and top the meat with provolone cheese. Then continue to back in the oven until the cheese melts and is bubbly.

- Store leftover Philly cheesesteak casserole in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
