Ginger Latte

A warming spicy coffee drink to wake up your sense in the morning or any time of the day. Ready in less than 5 minutes with simple and fresh ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk of choice
  • 1 Tablespoon instant coffee or to your liking
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar light or dark
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 piece of ginger root about 1 ½ inches

Instructions

  • In a pot mix together all the latte ingredients.
  • Heat the mixture on medium until it bubbles.
  • Strain and serve garnished with whipping cream.

Notes

  • Use any coffee you like, instant coffee, espresso or Turkish coffee.
  • Brown sugar gives this recipe a distinct flavor but you can use any sweetener of choice.
  • Use can use any milk in this recipe - whole milk, cashew, coconut milk, almond milk - experiment and see which you prefer.
