Pan fried bread; tuna stuffed

  • 1 1/3 cup A.P flour.
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dry yeast.
  • 1/2 Tablespoon baking powder.
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • 2 Tablespoon dry milk.
  • 1/2 cup warm water.
  • For the filling: you can use anything you like. I used a simple tuna salad made from canned tuna lime juice, salt, green onion, bell pepper, parsley and tomato.


  • In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
  • Gradually mix in warm water, use your hand to mix together until formed. Transfer the dough to the counter and knead until sticky and well formed.
  • Form the dough into a ball and place it in a bowl, cover the bowl with plastic wrap , and leave to proof in a warm place for 30-60 minutes or until it has doubled in size.
  • Roll the dough on a floured surface to 2-3 mm thickness.
  • Using a small bowl, cut out circles.
  • Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  • Heat the frying oil and fry until golden brown.
  • Let it cool down a bit.
  • Stuff with your favorite stuffing.
  • Serve immediately.
