About Amira’s Pantry:
Thank you for visiting my blog, where you will find inspirations for real home cooked meals, with step by step photos and video tutorials.
About Amira, founder of the Amira’s Pantry:
I am the writer, photographer and culinary prowess behind Amira’s pantry. I believe in delicious homemade food and the power of chocolate.
I was graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo university and worked all my life as a programmer. I’ve lived my past life – that is until 2007 – with a keyboard in one hand and a mouse on the other. I had little to no experience in the kitchen and I was not even interested.
In 2007 my little family – me , my hubby and my then two boys- uprooted from Egypt to Colorado, USA. After moving I had both cultural shock and culinary shock, I’ve overcame a great deal of both and still trying on what is left :).
Living as an expat led me to a journey of self discovery which I am grateful for. One of the things that I’ve discovered is my love for baking. I’ve developed a great passion for baking from cakes, cupcakes to cookies pastries and bread.
Kneading, rolling, baking and garnishing all are ways of great relief for me, so when life gets hard with 3 boys, it is always a pleasure to turn the oven on and start creating something.
