Your feedback means the world to me, many of you not only created recipes but also revived old memories that brought joy to your heart and also mine😍. I receive emotional comments from my readers and I tear up when they say this reminded me of my grandmother. It excites me when someone discovers a new family favorite or restore an old recipe that they never knew how to make it right. You are my HERO.. love you all.
This recipe was fantastic! I just fed my in-laws, my husband, and my three year old boy. They all loved it! There were no leftovers! I actually caught my husband licking the bottom of the pan to get the rest of that buttery sauce. It was such an easy recipe to follow, too. Thanks for the recipe and for 6 happy tummies! 🙂

OMG, Amira, you don’t know for how long I’ve been looking for a recipe for the Egyptian Shoreek! I just discovered your blog this December and I’m coming back and forth here to check on your recipes! I’ve misssed so much this and never knew the right recipe for it, my grandmother used to make it for me years ago when I was little in Egypt. So, I thank you very much for posting this and bring me back to great childhood memories. Now I’m going to make it for my kids.

I've been living in the United States for 20 years now and I want to keep having Egyptian food in the family. I can't find good Middle Eastern, let alone Egyptian, recipes except at your blog. Thank you so much Amira for what you are doing, you are a blessing.

Made this last night with lamb instead, it was so delicious. Did not have 8 hours so I just did 2 ½ hours yet it turned out great. Thank you.

I was so excited to try this as I love Tiramisu but can’t have a “normal” one with alcohol. I followed the instructions exactly and was a bit nervous when I first put it in the fridge but after sometime I checked on it and it had set and was perfect. My sister said the flavor got better with time. Can’t wait to try more recipes from the lovely Amira
