Air Fryer Bone In Chicken Breast

This air fryer recipe is the perfect solution to dry boring chicken breast. With a handful of ingredients you will have juicy crispy chicken breast on your dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in split chicken breasts
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Optional: Dry tomato relish

  • 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup sun dried tomatoes chopped
  • ¼ medium red onion chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon capers chopped

Instructions

  • In a small bowl combine salt, black pepper, thyme, oregano and garlic powder.
  • Pat chicken dry with paper towels.
  • Rub chicken with oil then evenly coat with spice mix.
  • Arrange chicken in air fryer basket skin side down and air fry on 350F for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping and rotating breasts halfway through cooking.
  • Transfer chicken to a serving platter and tent loosely with aluminum foil.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.

To prepare the relish:

  • În a small bowl combine relish ingredients and season with salt and black pepper to taste. For a more flavorful relish use 1 ½ tablespoon of the juices from the air fryer drawer instead of using olive oil.
