- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add oil and sauté onions until translucent.
Add ground beef and brown, breaking it apart until no longer pink.
Add spices, tomato paste and mix everything until very well combined.
Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes then turn heat off.
- This is a basic seasoned ground beef recipe that has plenty of room to add other spices. Think chili for tacos, 7-spice blend for your Middle Eastern recipes, Chinese Five-spice for Asian recipes...etc.
- Works great with some Italian seasoning for pasta sauce too.
