Tiramisu Truffles

Get your tiramisu fix with this easy 15 minute recipe. Creamy soft lay fingers balls soaked with your favorite coffee and mascarpone cheese then dusted with the signature cocoa powder. A word of advice, do not skip the dipping sauce, it is so good.

Ingredients

  • 24 Savoiardi (ladyfingers) biscuits
  • 1 (8.8oz) tub Mascarpone Cheese
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup espresso or your favorite coffee
  • Cocoa powder for rolling and dusting

Optional Mascarpone dip:

  • 4 oz Mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ Tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Place ladyfingers cookies in a ziploc bag or in the food processor and crush into powder.
  • Empty the content of the bag into a bowl and add mascarpone cheese and two tablespoons of the coffee then mix well.
  • Gradually add more coffee until you get a soft but manageable dough. I used 3 ½ tablespoons.
  • Form mixture into balls using a small cookie scoop.
  • Place cocoa powder in a shallow dish and roll the tiramisu balls to cover completely.
  • Place on a serving platter and refrigerate until you make the dipping sauce.

Make the dip:

  • In a large bowl beat whip heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peak.
  • Mix in mascarpone cheese.
