Za’atar Recipe
A delicious nutty and tangy authentic zaatar spice mix is the key ingredient to many Middle Eastern recipes. Flavorful and works great with olive oil fro dipping, marinade, or a finishing touch to many dishes.

- ¼ cup wild oregano leaves
- 2 Tablespoon sumac
- 1 Tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- Sea salt to your liking 1 teaspoon
Use a mortar and pestle to grind the oregano leaves finely then place in a bowl.
Add the rest of the spices and mix well.
Place in a jar with a fitted lid.

This zaatar mix is good for 3 months if stored properly in an airtight container in a dark cool place.
