Matcha Chocolate

A super easy and delicious recipe for matcha chocolate! Delicious chocolate squares flavored with pistachio for a nutty twist to the famous Japanese chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 200 g white chocolate chips , or chopped white chocolate bar
  • ¼ heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons matcha powder green tea powder

Optional:

  • 1 ½ Tablespoons ground pistachios

Instructions

  • Line a small glass baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a sauce pan over low heat, start heating the whipping cream until you notice bubbles start to form around the edges of the pan, remove immediately from heat.
  • Add chocolate and butter, mix quickly so the chocolate and butter melt evenly.
  • Add Pistachio and sift matcha powder over stir to combine.
  • Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and tap gently over the counter to remove any bubbles. Smooth out the surface with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate 4-6 hours or overnight.
  • When ready to serve, cut into squares and dust with more matcha powder if desired.

Notes

* Use good quality white chocolate that is made with cocoa butter.
