Tortellini Ground Beef

- 12 oz cheese tortellini
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
For the meat sauce:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 can tomato paste 6 ounces
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 ½ teaspoon dry oregano
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
- 1 can tomato sauce 15 ounces
- 1 ¼ cup water
Place a large skillet on medium high heat and pour oil.
Add onions and saute for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
Add ground beef and cook breaking it apart until no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Mix in tomato paste, sugar, Worcestershire Sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Pour in tomato sauce and water and stir well to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Add tortellini, reduce heat to medium and cover. Cook for 7 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle cheese on top, cover again and continue to cook until cheese melts and bubbly.
