Air Fryer Shrimp Tacos

Everyday is better with tacos, here is an easy 10 minute air fryer shrimp tacos recipe to enjoy for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.

Equipment

  • Air fryer

Ingredients

For the shrimp:

  • 1 pound large or medium shrimp deveined and tails off
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 Tablespoons avocado oil

For serving:

  • 1 squeeze of lime juice

For the sauce:

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • juice of one lime

Serve with:

  • avocado chopped or sliced
  • lime wedges
  • fresh cilantro chopped
  • ½ cup Cotija cheese
  • 2 cups shredded red cabbage or coleslaw mix
  • 8 corn or flour tortillas

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl toss the shrimp ingredients well together.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  • Place the shrimp in a single layer, as much as possible in your air fryer basket and air fry for 7 minutes, shaking the basket in the middle, until fully cooked.
  • Place cooked shrimp on a plate and toss with a squeeze of lime.
  • Meanwhile, warm up your tortillas for 10-15 seconds in the microwave.
  • Spoon shrimp in warm tacos and top with shredded cabbage, cheese, sauce and your favorite taco toppings.

Notes

  • You can use a package of taco seasoning in place of the chili powder, cumin, cayenne and garlic if you wish.
  • Don't skip out on the squeeze of lime as it adds such wonderful flavor to the meal.
