- In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp ingredients well together. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
- Place the shrimp in a single layer, as much as possible, in your air fryer basket and air fry for 7 minutes, shaking the basket in the middle, until fully cooked.
- Place cooked shrimp on a plate and toss with a squeeze of lime. Meanwhile, warm up your tortillas for 10-15 seconds in the microwave.
- Spoon shrimp in warm tacos and top with shredded cabbage, cheese, sauce and your favorite taco toppings.

- You can use frozen shrimp for this air fryer shrimp taco recipe. For best flavor, thaw out per package instructions, usually in cold water in your sink or refrigerator overnight. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
- Adjust the cayenne pepper if you wish the tacos to be a tad spicier or more mild tasting.
- Use a teaspoon of garlic powder if you don't have any fresh garlic on hand.
- You can use olive oil in place of avocado oil.
- You can use your favorite cheese, the Cotija cheese tastes similar to feta cheese and adds a salty tangy taste to the shrimp tacos.
- You can use a package of taco seasoning in place of the chili powder, cumin, cayenne and garlic if you wish.

Refrigerate: leftover shrimp can be kept in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to three days. Always check the shrimp by smelling it before consuming it if it has been close to three days.

Shrimp tacos are quick to cook, however you could prep your taco toppings before you cook up dinner. Shred the cabbage, mince the garlic and make the sauce ahead of time. You could also season the shrimp and keep in your refrigerator until you're ready to cook in the air fryer. Thawed or fresh shrimp should be cooked within 24 hours.

It depends on your air fryer. In this recipe, I used a 6 quart air fryer. It was a little bit tight but doable. However, I prefer to do them in batches especially if I want to add a little extra spice to a batch.
Thawed or fresh shrimp should be cooked within 1 day. However, you can keep frozen shrimp in your freezer for up to three to four months. It's always best to follow the use by date on the package.

- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 Tablespoons avocado oil
For serving:
- 1 squeeze of lime juice

- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
- 1 garlic clove minced
- juice of one lime
Serve with:
- avocado chopped or sliced
- lime wedges
- fresh cilantro chopped
- ½ cup Cotija cheese
- 2 cups shredded red cabbage or coleslaw mix
- 8 corn or flour tortillas
