Homemade garlic oil is basically garlic-infused oil that can be used in your favorite recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 garlic head
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary thyme or bay leaves

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, place whole cloves of garlic. fresh herbs then pour olive oil over.
  • Heat on medium heat until it boils then reduce heat. Continue cooking on low heat for 15 more minutes.
  • Turn heat off and let it cool down completely.
  • Remove garlic and pour oil in a jar with a fitted lid.

Notes

  • Keep stirring and watch out for the garlic so it does not brown too much as this will make the oil taste bitter.
