Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon allspice
  • 1 Tablespoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  • In a bowl mix all the spices together until well blended.
  • Store in an airtight spice jar for up to 6 months.

Notes

  • Many people like to buy their spices whole then toast and grind them. I actually love the idea but for the sake of convenience you can use the spices in their ground form.
  • 7 spice mix differs from country to country. In the Middle East and even between areas in the same country. You will find some people add nutmeg, turmeric, cumin and other spices too. This is simply how I like mine.
