Rolo and Pretzel Bites
Whenever I make these Rolo Pretzel bites, I feel like the best host ever. All kids and their parents love them! Made with their favorite candy, this easy, sweet, and salty treat recipe is super simple, requires no baking, and calls for only three ingredients.
Pro Tip
For less mess, place the M&M or pecan on the Rolo first, then press down using the back of a spoon. Wipe the back of the spoon between presses if needed.
Rolo Pretzel Bites
Ingredients
- 48 mini pretzels
- 48 Rolo chocolate candies
- 48 M&Ms or pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 225°F. Line a baking sheet with either parchment paper, foil, or a silicone baking mat.
- Lay the pretzels on the baking sheet.
- Unwrap the Rolos and place one on each pretzel.
- Bake for 2–3 minutes, just until the Rolos look glossy and soft. Do not let them fully melt.
- Take out of the oven and, while still warm on the baking sheet, gently press an M&M or pecan half into the center of each melted Rolo. (If the candy or nuts do not easily push into the Rolos, put the tray back into your oven for another minute.) Try again. Avoid over-melting the Rolo candies.
- Let the bites cool at room temperature for at least 20 minutes to fully set.
Notes
Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt over pecans or sparkling sugar over the M&Ms for extra flair.
You can also use a toaster oven or air fryer-style oven to melt the Rolos - just reduce the time and watch them closely.

How to Make Rolo Pretzels
Gather the recipe ingredients. I've tried multiple toppings and most of them went well with this recipe.
I drizzled white chocolate on top. They were good but it was sort of messy. I also tried chopped pecans and then Pecan halves. Pecan Halves are definitely better for presentation
Preheat your oven to 225°F (yes, a low and slow heat is key!). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, foil, or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
Lay out your mini pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Place one Rolo candy on each one then pop the tray into the oven for just 2-3 minutes. You’re looking for the Rolos to look glossy and soft, but not completely melted into a puddle. Keep a close eye on them!
Remove the tray from the oven. While the Rolos are still warm and soft, gently press an M&M or pecan half into the center of each one.
If they aren't soft enough to press, just put the tray back in the oven for another minute. Be careful not to over-melt!
Let the bites cool at room temperature for at least 20 minutes. This allows the chocolate to set back up, creating the perfect bite.
