“Give glad tidings to those who patiently endure, who say when afflicted with a calamity: “To Allah we belong and to Him we return.” They are those on whom (descend) blessings and mercy from their Lord, and they are the ones who receive guidance.”

[Surah Al-Baqarah: 155-157]

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the sudden, shocking and fore sure life shattering news. My dad passed away September 20th. I'm overwhelmed with grief right now but I know that eventually, everything will be ok InShaaAllah (God willing). I'm currently in Egypt comforting my family and being comforted by them as well. I'll postpone posting until I get better, thanks for understanding. Please remember us in your prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. There's nothing that can be said to ease a person's suffering at a time like this, but just remember all the love that you had for your father and that your father had for you.

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. I am so sorry to hear this my sweet Amira. I know that nothing we say will help and the pain really never goes away you will just learn to live with it a little bit better day by day. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen I am here. And may Allah forgive him for anything he may have done and take him to Jannah Ameen.

inna lillah wa inna ilayhi raji3oon. May Allah grant your father Jannah. Fathers are such special people, and only Allah can grant them such a special place, as Jannah. Inshallah. Stay strong. This dunya is only temporary 🙂

G'day! I am truly sorry for your loss Amira!
I have saved these two poems to share with you and your family today!
    He is Just Away
You cannot say, you must not say
That he is dead. He is just away!
    With a cheery smile
And a wave of the hand
He has wandered into an unknown land
And left us dreaming how very fair
    It needs must be,
    Since he lingers there;
So think of him faring on, as dear
In the love of There as the love of Here
    Think of him still
    As the same, and say
He is not dead, he is just away.
    ---James Whitcomb Riley—

    His Journey's Just Begun
    Don't think of him
    As gone away-
    His journey's just begun,
    Life holds so many facets-
    This earth is only one...
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
    That we could know today
    How nothing but our sadness
    Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost-
And he was loved so much.
    ---E. Brenneman--

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 25 years ago, one month before my daughter was born. I still miss him but as each day passes the pain gradually subsides and you will be left with wonderful memories to cherish for a lifetime. Take care.
