My notes
- While this recipe works as is, spraying the frozen fries with a little oil makes them extra crispy in less time.
- Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if needed.
- Season after cooking, I've found that this is the best way to make seasoning stick especially if you did not use an oil spray.
- Cook time varies according to your air fryer and the type of cries you are using.
Your questions answered: FAQs
You might have overcrowded the basket, added too much oil or you forgot to shake halfway through cooking. No problem, cook an additional two minutes at a time until they reach your desired texture.
You can use any brand of frozen French fries for this recipe. However, thicker-cut fries may require slightly longer cooking times, so you might need to adjust accordingly.
No, there's no need to thaw the frozen French fries before cooking them in the air fryer. Cooking them from frozen ensures they stay crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
It's best to cook the frozen French fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure they cook evenly and become crispy. If your air fryer basket is small, you may need to cook them in batches to avoid overcrowding. Alternatively, you can use a larger air fryer with a bigger basket if you need to cook a large batch at once
Storage and reheating
Refrigerate - Store leftover fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Reheat- Reheat leftover fries in the air fryer at 350°F for a few minutes until crispy.
