A quick chop of fresh guava, blend it with a little water and mix it with your favorite liquid; usually milk or water and you're done.

Next time try this banana milk.

Homemade guava juice tastes amazing. It is popular in Egypt and the Middle East region. It is also good to drink during the month of Ramadan as well.

    ❤️ Why You'll Love It

    • Fresh juice with no artificial color or flavorings.
    • No cooking required
    • No juicer needed
    • Simple ingredients
    • Nutrient packed

Fresh homemade guava juice drink is perfect any time of day and good for you too! You only need a few ingredients, a blender and a strainer to make this delicious drink. With my step by step recipe, this will soon become a favorite drink in your home too.

    📝 Ingredients

Guava juice ingredients on a white surface.

    📋 Ingredient Notes

    • Guava: Available in most food stores. This recipe works with either red or white guava.
    • Water: Needed to easily blend the guava.
    • Milk: Is added to the fresh juice after putting it through a strainer.
    • Sweetener: Sugar or honey can be used to sweeten to taste.

    🥄 Instructions

Guava cubes on a cutting board.
    • Cut the ends of guava and dice into small pieces.

    • Place in a blender with water and sugar if using.
    • Blend until smooth.
    • Pour through a fine mesh strainer. Use a spoon to stir the mixture in the strainer so the pulp goes through easily.
    Pouring milk over guava pulps.
    • Add milk or cold water to the guava pulp until you reach the desired consistency, taste to adjust sugar. Pour into cups and serve.

    💡 Expert Tips

    • The smaller you dice the guava the easier it gets for your blender to blend it.
    • Adding sugar, more or no sugar depends on your personal taste and how sweet your guava is.
    • If your guava is quite ripe, then it may not need as much sweetener as one that is not yet ripen.
    • You can use any kind of sweetener you like.
    • Some people like peeling guava, others scoop out the seeds before throwing in the blender. I like to keep things simple and blend everything together then strain.
    • I like to add about 3/4 cup of milk for every 1 cup of guava pulp to make my drink, but again consistency is also a matter of preference. Start with half a cup and then go up from there.
    • You can use water instead of milk.

    💬 FAQs

    What is guava juice drink?

Guava juice drink is simply fresh guava blended with liquid. Sweetener may be added.

Which guava is best red or white?

We prefer white guava but both work for this recipe. White guava is a little sweeter as well as having more vitamin C. Pink or red guava has less sugar and less seeds.

What are the benefits of drinking guava juice?

Guava has more vitamin C than oranges, it's filled with vitamins, beta-carotene and fiber. Guava is said to be good for your skin as well as packed with antioxidants.

    How to ripen guava?

Many times we buy hard, green guava which is not as sweet as we like. If you want to ripen guava, place them in a paper bad and leave in room temperature. To speed up the process add a banana or an apple to the bag.

    👩‍🍳 Variations

    • A little bit of grate fresh ginger gives it a nice flavor.
    • Add a squeeze of lemon juice for a tangy taste or lime juice for a citrus twist.
    • A dash of vanilla extract can be added.
    • To make guava juice drink into a smoothie, you can add the juice without the pulp, milk and ice into the blender and even a banana.

    🧺 Storage

Prepared guava juice stays in the fridge for two days. If you want to freeze the guava pulp just squeeze half a lime and mix it in the pulp. This recipe will give you approximately 2 1/2 cups of guava pulp. Place pulp in an airtight container and freeze for up to a year. I do not like keeping it that long as it will change color and tastes better to not exceed 6 months.
