Creamy lemon chicken is a crazy good and easy to make crock pot dinner. A meal even your pickiest of eaters will enjoy. After 15 minutes of easy prep, set your crock pot to cook for the next 2-4 hours and soon you will have the most delicious chicken dinner.

- Sprinkle each chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides and set aside. In a small bowl, mix together flour and Italian seasoning. Dredge each chicken breast on both sides in the flour mixture.
- In a non-stick skillet over medium high heat add olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Add chicken and brown on each side. Remove chicken from pan and place in your slow cooker.
- Add the remaining butter to the pan, sauté garlic for just 30 seconds. Pour stock, lemon juice, lemon zest and heavy cream scraping the bottom of the pan and cook for a minute or two.
- Pour the cream sauce over, cover and cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 3-4 hours.
💡 Amira's Tips
- If you have large chicken breasts, cut them lengthwise in half.
- It would be helpful to flatten the chicken breasts with a meat mallet to make them equally thick.
- Taste the sauce when it is done, if you need more spices or lemon juice add more to your liking.

Place leftover creamy lemon chicken in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

You may think leaving the chicken in the crockpot will continue to soften the chicken but actually the opposite is true and that's why it's important to follow the recipe and check for doneness. Overcooking chicken in your crock pot may make the meat tough.
Check doneness by using a meat thermometer. Chicken breasts are done at 165°F. Know that the chicken will continue to cook while it's sitting in the slow cooker, even if you turn it off.
It will depend on the size and weight of the chicken breasts that you use, but most times it will be about 4-6 chicken breasts.
