💬 FAQs

Does chicken breast soften in the slow cooker?

Yes, this lemon chicken comes out incredibly tender as it cooks slowly in a creamy flavorful sauce with chicken broth, cream and seasonings.

What happens if you leave chicken too long in your slow cooker?

You may think leaving the chicken in the crockpot will continue to soften the chicken but actually the opposite is true and that's why it's important to follow the recipe and check for doneness. Overcooking chicken in your crock pot may make the meat tough.

How can I tell when the chicken is done?

Check doneness by using a meat thermometer. Chicken breasts are done at 165°F. Know that the chicken will continue to cook while it's sitting in the slow cooker, even if you turn it off.

How many chicken breasts is two pounds?

It will depend on the size and weight of the chicken breasts that you use, but most times it will be about 4-6 chicken breasts.
