🥄 Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat add ground beef and cook until no longer pink breaking it apart.
- Add spices, tomato paste and water mix everything well. Cook until done.
- Roll crescent roll dough and separate the triangles, lay the triangles overlapping in a prepared 9 or 10 inch pie dish.
- Continue placing triangles until the whole dish is covered.
- Spread the meat mixture over the dough.
- Sprinkle cheese on top and bake.

- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to three months.
- Reheat in a 350F oven wrapped in foil, make sure to thaw first if frozen.
💡 Tips
- You can use store bought taco seasoning or your favorite homemade taco seasoning as well.
- Do not forget to spray the pie dish for easy cleaning.
- We love our pie more on the thick side, if you like yours thin then you might not use the whole 2 rolls.
- We also loved ours tall so I used 1 ½ pound of ground beef, but you can get away with only 1.
- It might be helpful to use a clear pie dish so you can check if the bottom has browned or not.

- Use store bought taco seasoning packet.
- Cook the ground beef mixture and freeze or refrigerate for up to three days.
- You can also assemble the dish, wrap then freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw, and bake as directed.

- Add some beans to the taco meat.
- Use your favorite ground meat or make it leaner with ground turkey.
- You might as well add a small can of chopped green chiles.
- Use any cheese, or cheese combination you like.
- Add some hot peppers or bell peppers to the meat mixture.
- Top your meat with some Doritos then sprinkle cheese on top for an extra crunch.

Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese melts and the crust has browned and crisped up. This will probably take between 20 to 25 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350F, wrap the pie in foil and place in the oven for about 8 minutes. If you want to crisp the edges then remove foil in the last minute or so.

Pillsbury crescent roll taco bake
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder
- 1 ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- ¼ cup water
- 2 rolls crescent rolls
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
To serve:
- Shredded lettuce sour cream, green onion, salsa, guacamole
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a large skillet over medium high heat add ground beef and cook until no longer pink breaking it apart.
- Add spices, tomato paste and water mix everything well
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium and cook for 5 more minutes.
- Assemble and bake:
- Unroll one of the crescent roll packs and separate the triangles.
- Lay the first triangle on a 9 or 10 inch baking pie pan covering the side of the pie dish.
- Place another triangle overlapping the first one by about ¼ inch pressing it down and on the side as well.
- Continue to do so until you are done with the first roll, most probably your dish is not fully covered yet.
- Unroll the second roll and separate the triangles as well.
- Continue placing triangles until the whole dish is covered.
- You can stop at one layer like this or lay the rest of the triangles , probably around 4-5 more, at the bottom of the dish.
- Spread the meat mixture over the dough and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until edges and bottom are golden brown.
- Serve topped with shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, onions, olives, salsa , pico de gallo, avocado or whatever you like with tacos.
