I've been sharing 5-day meal plans with my email subscribers for many years now, started sharing some of those on Instagram and I love the feedback I get from those who love the meal plans and use them regularly.

If you’re new to my meal plans, they normally include 5 dinner recipes and one or two desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth. I'm trying my best to be thoughtful and add a variety of recipes with plenty of wiggle room for you to add or subtract food and I always suggest you make a day per week for leftovers or use them for lunch the next day.

    📅 Food Holidays

This week we are having some interesting and fun days to celebrate. These days are a good opportunity to raise awareness, shed some light, or inspire you to create more recipes in your kitchen. So let's check them out:y.

    • November 8 is Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day! I could not believe that there is a day for this kind of food either. I highly recommend cooking Koshari with its pungent, garlicky and vinegary sauces.
    • November 9 is National Greek Yogurt Day, which by the way is not Greek!

    🫑 In Season Now

Chard, cauliflower, chicory, onion, beet, beans, lettuce, potato, pea, leek, turnip, radish, celery, pumpkin, pinapple, winter berry, banana, apple, pomegranate, fig, , pear, plum, grape. A lot to choose from!

    November 8

Red lentil soup in a grey bowl with green onions and crackers on the back.

This hearty Egyptian lentil soup is the perfect way to warm up on a chilly day! Absolutely delicious, vegan, and perfect to stretch the budget! Pair with some air fryer garlic bread.

    November 9

A pot of food on a table, with Artichoke and Chicken

If you love a good and quick chicken recipe you will love this chicken and artichoke one. It is easy, one pot and takes just 30 minutes to make.

    November 10

A close up of a plate with shrimp covered in sauce

This one is super easy shrimp in tomato sauce recipe. A family favorite that I grew up with and pairs very well with basmati rice.

    November 11

A whole chicken on a bed of lettuce and greens.

Oven roasted chicken on a bottle is delicious tender with crispy skin. Pair with some roasted vegetables or air fryer frozen sweet potato fries for a quick side.

    November 12

AN OVERHEAD SHOT OF A DINNER TABLE WITH liver sandwiches, a bowl of tahini sauce, olives and a big serving bowl of cooked liver.

These liver sandwiches have always been a favorite of mine and my husband. Recently one of my kids joined us! If you love liver, try this recipe.

    Desserts

4 glass cups of milk pudding placed on a dark brown wooden tray.

This week I have an easy creamy milk pudding for you to try. Mahalabia is a delicious 4-ingredient milk pudding that is ready in 10 minutes. Psst, I love eating it hot.
