📝 Ingredients
Note: This is an overview of the ingredients. You'll find the full measurements and instructions in the recipe card (printable) at the bottom of the page.
🥄 Instructions
Note: This is an overview of the instructions. The detailed instructions are in the recipe card below.
- In an oven-safe skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sauté onions and bell pepper.
- Add ground beef and brown until no longer pink then drain excess grease.
- Sprinkle flour and mix in milk. When the mixture heats up, mix in the cream cheese. Turn heat off and top the meat with slices of provolone cheese.
- Bake the entire dish in the oven until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
💡 Tips
- If you do not have an oven safe skillet, you can transfer the ground beef mixture to a casserole dish and top the meat with provolone cheese. Then continue to bake in the oven until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
- I've used a combination of red and green bell peppers. Traditional Philly Cheesesteak uses green bell peppers but if it causes you trouble feel free to use any color you like.
