I've been sharing 5-day meal plans with my email subscribers for many years now, started sharing some of those on Instagram and I love the feedback I get from those who love the meal plans and use them regularly.
If you’re new to my meal plans, they normally include 5 dinner recipes and one or two desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth. I'm trying my best to be thoughtful and add a variety of recipes with plenty of wiggle room for you to add or subtract food and I always suggest you make a day per week for leftovers or use them for lunch the next day.
Food Days This Week
This week we are having some interesting and fun days to celebrate. These days are a good opportunity to raise awareness, shed some light, or inspire you to create more recipes in your kitchen. So let's check them out:
- October 25 is World Pasta Day, pay tribute to one of the most delicious food ever and make this delicious, cheesy and creamy chicken tetrazzini.
- October 26 is National Pumpkin Day and there are plenty of things on the blog to choose from. Can I suggest pumpkin jam?
- October 27 is National Potato Day, go for this batata harra for a spicy tangy potato dish.
- October 28 is Chocolate Day, I have tons of chocolate recipes to choose from. I am partial to this chocolate cake with biscuits.
In Season Now
We are stepping deep into fall and there are still lots of good things in season like endive, beans, chicory, potato, pumpkins, peas, winter squash, spinach and celery.
October 25
A rich and hearty vegan lentil stew, with ton of flavors. Perfect cold-weather comfort food that can be paired with crusty bread and a green salad.
October 26
Wow your family with these Baked chicken drumsticks! They are so tender on the inside, sticky and delicious on the outside and easy to make.
October 27
Flaky, scrumptious and full of Middle Eastern flavors, these air fryer salmon are great for a healthy quick weeknight dinner. Pair with white or yellow rice and green salad.
