Green Beans and Almonds
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 pound frozen green beans
- 3 garlic cloves
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- salt , to taste
- ⅓ cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat 1 Tablespoon of butter over medium heat then add almonds and toast, stirring constantly, until golden brown.
- Transfer almonds to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter with olive oil on medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds .
- Add green beans and saute, stirring occasionally, until the beans are perfectly tender and browned.
- Top with the toasted almonds, season, and stir all together. Taste and adjust the seasoning to your liking.
- Turn the heat off and serve.
