I've been sharing 5-day meal plans with my email subscribers for many years now, started sharing some of those on Instagram and I love the feedback I get from those who love the meal plans and use them regularly.

If you’re new to my meal plans, they normally include 5 dinner recipes and one or two desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth. I'm trying my best to be thoughtful and add a variety of recipes with plenty of wiggle room for you to add or subtract food and I always suggest you make a day per week for leftovers or use them for lunch the next day.

Food Days This Week

This week we are having some interesting and fun days to celebrate. These days are a good opportunity to raise awareness, shed some light, or to inspire you to create more recipes in your kitchen. So let's check them out:

  • July 5: National Apple Turnover Day.
  • July 6: National Fried Chicken Day., a good time to try these fried strips.
  • July 7: National Macaroni Day, check out these delicious pasta recipes.
  • July 8: National Chocolate with Almonds Day.
  • July 9: National Sugar Cookie Day.

In Season Now

July is here and so are summer produce, almost everything is in season. Avocado, corn, tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, beets, figs, mango, watermelon, peaches, okra, plum... and the list goes on .

July 5

Lentil stew in a green bowl with a spoon scooping up some lentils.

This lentil stew is one of the best vegan lentil recipes.

July 6

A plate of food, with Chicken, olives and tomatoes

Baked lemon pepper chicken with a Mediterranean twist.

July 7

A close up of food, with Pasta and Baked ziti

Easy and kid friendly baked Ziti casserole makes for a wonderful dinner with a side of salad.

July 8

a pulled bbq chicken sandwich on a white plate with a bowl of pulled chicken in the back

Shredded bbq chicken sandwiches made in the crockpot is a set and forget kind of meal.

July 9

A close up of a plate with shrimp covered in sauce

You will be surprised how flavoring this tomato sauce with mint is going to make the shrimp shine in my mom's recipe for saucy shrimp.

Desserts

A close up of apple rose on a pan sheet

Apple roses are an easy way to beautifully highlight this delicious fruit.
