- In a saucepan over medium heat melt butter, then stir in flour in whisk. Pour in milk and ½ cup of the chicken broth.
- Season with salt, garlic powder, onion powder and cumin. Stir well until thickens.
- Remove from heat and wait for it to cool down for a couple of minutes. Add the sour cream and chilies.
- Add the shredded cheese and green onions.

- Cheese gives this sauce an extra richness so do not skip it but you can use any cheese you have.
- If the sauce comes out too thick for your liking thin it out gradually with the remaining stock.
