Lemon herb tahini is a delicious twist to the classic tahini sauce that is so popular in the Middle East. This is the perfect blend of tangy lemon, fresh herbs, and nutty tahini.

Lemon herb tahini sauce is a delicious sauce made with simple ingredients.
  • In the bowl of a mini food processor add all the ingredients.
  • Pulse until everything is mixed well and cilantro is finely chopped. Taste to adjust seasoning.

💡Tips

  • It helps to add water and lemon juice to the food processor before adding the tahini so it does not get stuck to the bottom of the bowl.
  • For a thicker consistency start by 2 Tablespoons of water and add little by little until you reach your desired consistency.
  • If you end up with a thinner consistency than you would like to add a little but more tahini paste.
  • I’ve doubled the cilantro as this is how we like it, so feel free to double or even triple.
  • You can use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder.
  • Tahini is a paste made with ground sesame seeds and some oil. You can easily make tahini paste at home or find it in your nearby grocery store.

  • Store in an airtight container or jar for a week in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup tahini paste
  • ¼ cup warm water more or less depending on the consistency you like.
  • ⅓ cup freshly squeezed lemon
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon coriander
  • 1 Tablespoon cilantro chopped
