Ground beef is also a budget-friendly meat. If you have a pound of ground beef, it's easy to prepare a full meal with it! Here I share with you my go to recipe which is the basis of many ground beef recipes.

  1. In a non-stick large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and sauté onions until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and brown, breaking it apart until no longer pink.
  3. Add spices, tomato paste and mix everything until very well combined.
  4. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes then turn heat off.

  • Cooked ground beef should be wrapped or placed in an airtight container and kept in your refrigerator for 3 days or 3 months in the freezer.

How do I freeze cooked ground beef?

Let the ground beef completely cool either on your counter or in the refrigerator. Pour the cooked ground beef into a freezer bag, remove excess air and seal tightly.

How long does it take to thaw cooked ground beef?

It normally takes about 24 hours for each pound of ground beef to thaw in your refrigerator. It is not recommended to thaw it on your counter to keep it at a safe temperature.
