Fruits and Jams

From fresh produce to sweet and savory jams there are so many great choices to help you add extra flavor to this easy appetizer recipe.

Jars filled with peach jam with a spoon scooping some of the jam.

Watermelon Rind Jam - This homemade jam is a deliciously unique twist on the classic melon and brie combination.

Peach Jam -  The sweetness of ripe peaches pairs perfectly with the savory brie, creating a burst of sweet juicy flavor in every bite.

Fig Jam  - The rich and sweet flavors of fig jam complement the creamy brie, making for a delicious pairing that your guests will love.,

Slow Cooker Apple Butter -  A warm and cozy addition to any charcuterie board, this apple butter adds a touch of sweetness and goes perfectly with the creamy brie.

Naturally Sweetened Cranberry Sauce -  For a more traditional option, this tangy and slightly sweet cranberry sauce is the perfect sauce to add to the top of brie for the holidays.

Mango Jam -   Add a tropical twist to your charcuterie board with this mango jam. Its sweetness pairs well with the creamy brie and brings a burst of tropical flavor to your brie appetizer.

Apricot Jam - This jam is an easy way to add a little extra flavor to your serving platter. You won't regret making this sweet jam.

Cranberry Jalapeno Salsa -  For a spicy kick try this cranberry jalapeno salsa. The heat from the jalapenos pairs perfectly with the sweet and tangy cranberries, making it a bold addition to your wheel of cheese.

Fresh Fruits - The sweetness from fresh fruit is a perfect way to balance out the savory richness of baked brie. Apples, grapes, figs, and berries are all great choices.

Baked Apple Slices - These tender apples are baked with a hint of honey and cinnamon to make the perfect fresh topping for the top of the brie.

Dried Fruit Compote  - A compote made from dried fruits adds a chewy texture and sweet flavor that pairs well with the cheese.

Breads, Crackers, and Crunchy Toppings

The right bread and crunchy items are what make this into a delicious party appetizer that will guests will rave about for days to come. Here are a few of my favorites to use on this cheese.

Crusty French Baguette  -  Toasted baguette slices are a great option for serving with brie. The crunch from the bread combines well with the creamy cheese giving it a nice texture.

Toasted Nuts  -  Toasted nuts, such as almonds or walnuts, add a delicious and crunchy twist to your baked brie.

Butter Garlic Bread Chips  - These crunchy chips add a burst of garlic flavor that goes so well with the baked wheel of brie.

Irish Soda Bread  - This dense, slightly sweet bread pairs well with the rich, gooey melted cheese.

Air Fryer Pita Chips - Use this whole wheat pita bread to make chips. As, they provide a hearty crunch that holds up well to the melty cheese dip.

Dutch Oven Sourdough Bread - This bread has a crusty exterior and a soft center that is full of the tangy sour dough flave. It's a great match for this classic appetizer.

Flatbread Crackers - Homemade crackers are a tasty blend of salty and crunchy. So, that makes them the perfect way to scoop up this soft cheese.

Sweet Toppings

Add some sweet flavor to your brie wheel by topping it with one of these sweet toppings. They are perfect for special occasions when you want something a little different.

Strawberry sauce being poured into a jar.

Maple syrup or honey -  A drizzle of honey or pure maple syrup adds a touch of sweetness. This lightly sweet flavor pairs perfectly with this simple recipe.

Date Caramel Sauce  -  This naturally sweet date sauce pairs wonderfully with the creamy texture of the brie. Espically when you spread it on top of the cheese.

Strawberry Coulis  - Is a sweet strawberry syrup that adds a great balance to the richness of the cheese.

Cherry Sauce - The tartness of cherry sauce provides a nice contrast to the gooey cheese.

Eggnog Caramel Sauce  - Perfect for the holiday season, as this sauce adds a festive touch to the top of brie. .

Fresh Herbs and Savory Options

Fresh herbs and savory toppings can add some extra flavor to your brie cheese wheel. And, I promise that you will love these simple toppings.

Garlic oil in a light colored pan.

Fresh rosemary or thyme - Are aromatic herbs that will add a touch of earthy flavor. So, that makes them the perfect pairing for creamy brie.

Creamy Mushroom Sauce with Greek Yogurt  - Is a surprising sauce that adds umami flavor. And, it pairs so well with all your favorite baked brie recipes.

Garlic oil - Is made with olive oil and is full of garlic flavor. So, it's great to serve on a cheese board alongside a sliced baguette and a wheel of brie.

Baked brie is a wonderful appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. No matter how you dress it up, it will always be a crowd-favorite at your next holiday party.

I would love for you to leave me a comment and share with me your favorite way to top baked brie!
